This site is designed to promote the teaching and learning of sustainable living whilst providing teachers with support to engage year 3 children in design technologies and authentic rich experiences. It is space for teachers to acess a range of material that will support classroom teaching and a stimulous for engaging children in a design challenge that involves ethical understanding and critical and creative thinking. Teachers are provided with appropriate scaffolding for their students to both monitor their learning and understand the thinking processes involved in design technologies. They will do this through project based learning. Below is listed the Australian Curriculum Content descriptions that will be covered throughout and the overarching technologies.
